Bishop Ordinary

Bishop Clark Lowenfield is in the eleventh year of his consecration as the first Ordinary of the Anglican Diocese of the Western Gulf Coast. He has served Christ’s churches in South Carolina and Texas for nearly 40 years. He is a graduate of Amherst College in Amherst, Massachusetts (Political Science and Economics) and received his M.Div. from the University of the South School of Theology in Sewanee, Tennessee.

Founder and Chairman of the Board of the Simeon Society USA, Bishop Clark speaks and teaches regularly, nationally and internationally, on the Cost of Non-Discipleship; the Healthy Development of Disciple-making Cultures; and Engaging, Empowering and Equipping Women in Leadership and Ministry.

Bishop Clark and his wife, Tricia, live in Magnolia, Texas. They have three daughters, 2 sons-in-law and seven grandchildren, all of whom are truly the joys of his life.

Deacon Lisa Schwandt

Deacon Lisa Schwandt has served in ministry in a myriad of roles her entire adult life. She was ordained to the diaconate in May of 2009. Her joy is disciple-making, ever in awe of the ways God continues to prepare His bride for His return. She loves joining in with Him in the proclamation of His gospel, sharing His love, and encouraging His people. Grandchildren, C. S. Lewis, and ice cream are also pretty high up on her list. Lisa received her Bachelor of Journalism degree from The University of Texas at Austin and her Certificate of Diaconal Studies from the Anglican School for Ministry. Lisa is married to Scott, and they have two children: Sarah who is married to Bill, and Michael who is married to Rachel. They have four grandchildren, Chip, Margaret, Ian, and Mary Lisa—the delight of their lives.

 

Father Stan Gerber

Fr. Stan Gerber is happily married to Mary for forty-four years now (1979), and has one son, Nicholas, and daughter-in-law Hillary, who have given Stan and Mary five beautiful grandchildren. Stan attended The University of Dallas for two years and completed his Bachelor's Degree at The University of Texas at Dallas in Philosophy. After studying for three years at the Anglican School of Theology in Dallas, he was asked by his new bishop to move to Austin where after three more years, he received his Master of Divinity in 1989. Today he is the Rector of St. Timothy's Anglican Church in Spring. His favorite verse is Philippians 4:13, " I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Stan has happily been serving as Dean of the College of Presbyters under Bishop Clark Lowenfield since the beginning of the Diocese of the Western Gulf Coast.  

 

FATHER CRAIGE BORRETT

Canon for Parish Development

Canon Craige comes to the Diocese of the Western Gulf Coast after serving for 30+ years in South Carolina. There he served as the rector of Christ-St. Paul’s for 29 years and as Dean of the West Charleston Deanery. He served in leadership over those many years on the Diocesan council, as President of the Standing Comm, on the Bishop’s search committee, and as Head of the Taskforce for affiliation. He is a native Texan from El Paso where he has been friends with Bishop Clark and Tricia Lowenfield for many years. He graduated from The University of Texas with a BBA and earned his MDiv from Virginia Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Nancy, have been married for 40+ years (November 1982). They have three grown children and 6 grandchildren! After stepping down from the parish in South Carolina, he accepted the call to serve as Canon to the Bishop for Parish Development.

 

FATHER AARON JEFFREY

Fr. Aaron is the 1st Provost of the Diocesan School for Ministry and Sub-Dean alongside Dean Stan Gerber of the St. Timothy’s Cathedral. Informed by years of service and motivated by a deep pastoral heart, he has a passion for restoring the relationship between theology and Christian formation in order to build-up the body of Christ. His PhD dissertation is The Disclosure of Love: The Word of Truth in the Theology of Hans Urs von Balthasar (Durham University, UK). His research focuses on christology, pneumatology, philosophy of language, and Christian formation. He has two daughters with his wife Amy.

 

Father SAM ALLBERRY

Canon Theologian, Catechist

Fr. Sam Allberry is a pastor, apologist, and author. He is an editor and a writer for The Gospel Coalition and the author of a number of books on Christian belief, including Why Bother With Church?, Is God Anti-Gay?, and 7 Myths About Singleness. Sam studied theology at Wycliffe Hall in Oxford. Fr. Sam is known for his clear, gracious, and biblically-orthodox writing and speaking on the issues of sexuality and identity found in our culture today. He is currently working on projects concerning biblical singleness and the Christian understanding of the body. In his spare time, Sam enjoys hiking, American history, and slowly perfecting his recipe for Thai green curry.

 

DEACON RAY ORTLUND

Canon Theologian, Catechist

Dr. Ray Ortlund is a pastor, writer, and speaker. Ray received an MA from The University of California, Berkeley, a ThM from Dallas Theological Seminary, and Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. Ray is the President of Renewal Ministries and an Emeritus Council member of The Gospel Coalition. He taught Old Testament and Semitic Languages at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Deerfield, IL, from 1989 to 1998. He also served as an Old Testament translator for The New Living Translation and The English Standard Version of the Bible. Prior to joining the Diocese of the Western Gulf Coast and the ACNA, Dr. Ortlund served for over twenty eight years as a pastor (Presbyterian Church of America and the Acts 29 Network) in California, Oregon, Georgia and Tennessee. Ray and his wife Jani have been married for forty-five happy years. They have four children and 13 amazing grandchildren.

 

FATHER OSCAR GALLEGO

Canon for Hispanic Ministry

Canon Oscar was ordained to the diaconate in 2009, later in 2010 he became a Priest for the Old Catholic Church. After holding services at St Timothy's Anglican Church under the Old Catholic Communion, Father Oscar was received by Bishop Clark Lowenfield as a new Presbyter under the Diocese of the Western Gulf Coast. He has since been faithfully serving in St Timothy's Anglican Church as a pastor for the hispanic community. With the help of God in his role as a Canon for the hispanic ministry, his wish is to have strong hispanic communities in all of our churches within our Diocese and Province. Fr Oscar currently has a close relationship with sister churches in Cuba and Colombia. He was a flight attendant for 22 years where he met the love of his life, Alejandra, they have 3 boys, Sebastian, Anthony and Santiago.

 

FATHER JON BEADLE

Canon for Church Planting

Canon Jon was ordained to the Priesthood in 2021 and launched All Saints in 2022 with Lauren, his wife of 9 years, and their 3 children: Declan, Lennon, and August. He was born and raised in Louisiana to a family of bayou fishermen, computer engineers, and Pentecostal preachers. With 15 years of ministry under his belt, Jon is a graduate of Sam Houston and Fuller Seminary. When he is not busy leading All Saints and obeying his Bishop, he enjoys cigars, pickleball, long walks with the family, and reading books written by dead people.

 

FATHER John Tucker

Canon For Ministry Formation and Leadership Development

Canon John was born and raised in Austin and considers it a joy and a privilege to call it home. John was ordained to the priesthood in February of 2018 and now serves at Good Shepherd Dripping Springs after previously serving at HopePointe, the Cathedral Church of the Diocese. John currently teaches Medieval History and European Literature at Regents School of Austin during the week and is happy to be back home in Austin serving at Good Shepherd after years away. John grew up in Austin Texas and attended Wake Forest University, before leaving Wake to move to Zambia, Africa to serve as a missionary for just under four years. John received his Masters of Pastoral Ministry at Nashotah House Theological Seminary.

Canon John serves as the Canon for Ministry Formation and Leadership Development in the Diocese, where he assists the Bishop in overseeing, discipling, and equipping those discerning a call to ordained ministry.

 

FATHER Perry Koon

Canon Missioner of Texas Hill Country

Canon Perry has lived in Austin since 1996, has been in ministry since 1987 and has been involved in six church start-ups in the Austin area. He is currently the Vicar at Good Shepherd Anglican Church, Dripping Springs, a new church plant that kicked off in the summer of 2018. He was the Assistant Rector at Resurrection South Austin and teaches 5th grade in the Austin ISD. He completed a masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in 1993 from Abilene Christian University and worked in the Employee Assistance Program industry for 16 years. He was ordained a presbyter in 2009. Wendey and Perry were married in 1979 and have two wonderful, funny daughters, two super cool granddaughters and a grandson. Perry enjoys cycling, fishing and spending time on his deck with Wendey and their friends. His favorite verse is Mark 10:45, "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

 

FATHER Ernie Saik

Canon Pastor of Louisiana

A native of Jackson, Mississippi, Fr. Ernie graduated from St. Luke's Seminary, Sewanee, Tennessee with a MDiv. in 1978.  Ordained a deacon in 1978 and priest in 1979.  He has served churches in Mississippi, Texas, and Louisiana. On September 14 ,2014 he was the founding rector for Holy Cross Anglican Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  He served as rector until November 2015 when he retired and was appointed Canon Missioner for Louisiana by Bishop Lowenfield. He is married to his wife Brenda and they have two daughters, and 5 grandchildren. His favorite verse is Philippians 4:4, "Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice."

 

FATHER Nazir Masih

Fr. Nazir Masih is married to Agnes and has one daughter Samia Sumantha. Nazir attended St. Thomas’ Theological College at Karachi Pakistan and completed his Bachelor’s Degree and served the Diocese of Peshawar, Pakistan for fourteen years as a Rector. He is experienced in Inter-faith Relationship dialogue. During the time of Rector of the parish, he was asked by the bishop to go to Seminary of the Southwest, Austin, USA, where after one more year, he received his Christian Education Certificate. He is now serving the Diocese of the Western Gulf Coast, Texas, USA. His mission is to bring people consistently back in the house of God. His favorite verse is Roman 12:1, "Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship."

 

MRS. Sandy Rambach

Sandy Rambach has served as Bishop Lowenfield’s Executive Assistant since 2014. Prior to that she led various ministries including Communication, Connect/Newcomer, Small Groups, SHAPE (Spiritual Gifts), Prayer and served on the Vestry (Jr. Warden). She presently leads the Prayer Ministries for both HopePointe Church and the Diocese and facilitates a Women’s Bible Study. Sandy was born and raised in South Dakota. She and her husband, Steve, have been married for almost 40 years and raised their son in the Woodlands. In her free time, she enjoys art, music, cooking, reading and gardening.
